Karen Marie has been a musician from the womb. She is a singer/songwriter born to a piano teacher mother. She has played piano for as long as she can remember. Picked up the flute at age 11. Sang her first solo in church at age 12. Began playing guitar in college. She has performed at Buddhist meetings since she began practicing Nichiren Buddhism in 1984. She had a music duo with Michael Cross. Dharma Rain, from 2006 to 2016. She currently performs solo and with her youngest son, Rafe Marie, as a duo.
